Our Galt Mini Masterpieces!

The lovely people at Galt recently asked us to take part in their Mini Masterpiece Challenge – where they get young ones to recreate masterpieces using their products. They set a different masterpiece each month to recreate and this month it was the turn on The Kiss by Gustav Klimt.
They were kind enough to send us a box of their finger paints to use and when they arrived both my little ones and my nieces were all keen to get Keep reading…

My Son The Graffiti Artist!

My little man has suddenly gone from being the good little boy that understands the rule of ‘only draw on plain paper’ (the plain part was added when Alexa took paper to mean books, letters etc) to a sneaky little monkey that’s decided to leave his mark everywhere….including on my wallpaper :/
I’ve told him off but at the same time I’m secretly very proud of him. Why? Because he’s been writing this….

Not bad for a 3 year old 🙂

A Day At The Country Fair

Whilst we were enjoying our visit to the new-found areas at the country park, we saw a poster advertising the country fair at the start of this month (yes I know this post is late but I was in the process of getting my blog redesigned and moved!). Scott decided that it must be fun as the poster had pictures of balloons and that we MUST go …I don’t know why considering he’s petrified of balloons!!
So the day of the Keep reading…

My Not So Innocent Little Man!

Today I went to the nursery to pick the kids up and was promptly informed that Scott, the little sod, had punched another child in the face and been scratched in retaliation.
I was totally mortified. Apparently he cried, then fell asleep for an hour, woke up and was incredibly good ever since.
I can’t imagine him hitting anyone else, Alexa beats the crap out of him but he doesn’t retaliate. She really really pushes him but he doesn’t touch her so I Keep reading…

Lollibop Festival Competition

As you may have guessed from previous posts here, I’m really excited about going to LolliBop this year and so are my nieces and little ones.  Usually when we go out on day trips the activities are more geared toward the little ones leaving the girls a tad bored but after sitting and reading through the line-up they’re just as excited as me, Scott and Alexa!

What’s even more Keep reading…

Why I’m Not Going To BritMums Live

Wow, if you look at my Twitter, Instagram or Facebook feeds you’d be forgiven for thinking that everyone on the planet is attending BritMums Live. I’m starting to feel like I’m the only one that isn’t going…but why aren’t I going?

Is it because of the expense? Not really. Admittedly, it is a lot of money for me to find for a ticket especially when I have so many things I need to be paying out for, but technically I could Keep reading…

Lollibop – New Literacy Area!

As if it wasn’t great enough already, LolliBop, the UK’s biggest kids festival has announced a brand new fun and lively book area for 2014 – LolliBooks presented by Ladybird and Puffin.
I can really see my two enjoying some time here especially in the Ladybird Live bit and trying to spot Spot the Dog, not so sure about the older ones (my nieces!) but I’m sure they will find more than enough other things to keep them entertained!
Activity within Keep reading…
