Scott's Parents Evening

Today was Scott’s Parents ‘evening’ (aka afternoon). After the last meeting I didn’t anticipate any problems but he looked worried, which in turn had me a little worried too!
So, how is my gorgeous little man doing at nursery?
Incredibly bloody well!! (well he is mine after all!)
They’re really pleased with him, his teacher said he’s very switched on and knows what he’s doing. *Proud Beaming Mummy Right Here*

They have a guy that comes in especially to read stories to classes and who also tries Keep reading…

Unspeakable Horrors (aka No Internet or TV!)

We’ve been the victim of ‘unspeakable horrors’ this week and not had access to the internet or – shock horror- TV channels.
When I say TV channels I don’t just mean the wonders of cable TV but even the basics such as BBC and ITV thanks to the minor fact that some idiot (it’s the nicest word I can use here!) had taken it upon themselves to cut the lead outside the house that was our main aerial years ago.

Mummy's Little Sunflowers Book Review

A few weeks ago I received a copy of Mummy’s Little Sunflowers from Little Tiger Press to review. It is paperback and aimed at children over the age of 3.
Alexa immediately declared it as hers as she loved the huge sunflower on the front.

Both children love this book and the gorgeous illustrations within. Each page is covered with beautiful drawings that get the children talking about the flowers, animals and things they see.
The story is quite sweet, it follows the adventure of two Keep reading…

Mother's Day And My First Mother's Day Assembly

Just as Alexa and I were dropping him off he then also decided to drop the bombshell on me that they had all painted pictures of their mummies …cue me starting to have a slight panic due to the small fact that my son has never once bothered to try and draw/paint people. Keep reading…

More Easter Crafts

As well as the gorgeous Easter Houses I posted about last week, we also got to make some really lovely Easter Puppets. We took the Chick & Bunny Pop-up Puppet Kit from Baker Ross along to my sister’s caravan a few weekends ago to make and the little ones (and my nieces) loved making them.

The kit contains 4 puppets to make and costs only £3.96. Each of the kits come with everything needed to complete the puppets as the foam Keep reading…
