Don’t be a Donkey Review

A few weeks ago we were sent a new game to play with. When the box arrived Scott asked what was inside and so I told him – Don’t be a Donkey – at which point my darling daughter started howling with laughter as she thought I was insulting him! Don’t be a Donkey isn’t a random form of insult but indeed a really fun game to play that aimed 2-4 players aged 4+.

Penguin Pile-Up Review

It was recently declared in our house that, aside from their two favourite games at the moment, allll our games are boring. Luckily for them Penguin Pile-Up from Ravensburger arrived with us the next day for us to try out. From the second they saw the box they were keen to get it opened and start playing.

Inside the box you find the following:
A game base, an iceberg with flag, 20 penguins, a cardboard ring and an instruction booklet.

Chrono Bomb

During the holidays we were sent a spy mission game to help keep the kids amused and I have to say, at first look I couldn’t wait to get the box open and play. Chrono Bomb is aimed at children aged 6+ and can be played by any number of players. The aim is simple…use your spy skills to weave your way through the laser course without touching them, picking up the object cards and reaching the bomb to defuse Keep reading…

My First BANANAGRAMS

We were recently sent a new game to play – My First BANANAGRAMS. It’s not like the other games we have that are purely fun, this one is educational too…only the kids don’t seem to realise it!

The game comes packaged inside a green fabric pouch that’s shaped like a, you’ll never guess what, banana! Scott looked at it and immediately pointed out that the banana wasn’t the right colour, it was just like the ones that aren’t ripe in Keep reading…

Name That! Review

As a family we love games, both my two and my nieces enjoy being competitive (not as much as me!) and as a boring/moany old lady now I especially love games that don’t take up an excessively large amount of space. So, when we were sent a copy of Name That from Megableu, both my competitive streak and my liking for compact games were satisfied.

Name That consists of 50 circular cards and a set of rules all contained in Keep reading…
